Weld Hill Research and Administration Building was built to strengthen the Arboretum’s botanical research capabilities. The new 43,500 square foot building houses up to 48 researchers and assistants, as well as offices for the administration department of the Arboretum. In addition to offices, the new building includes twelve greenhouses, state-of-the-art laboratories, growth chambers and study areas all functioning in close proximity to the Arboretum’s remarkable collections.

The building was designed and constructed to LEED Gold specifications.
